Why are Bubbles Important?

  • Apr 22
  • 1 min read

Blowing bubbles is one of the very first skills we introduce to our little swimmers and for good reason. This simple activity plays a big role in helping children learn how to control their breathing in the water.

When children practice blowing bubbles, they begin to understand how to exhale underwater, which is an essential foundation for safe and effective swimming. It also helps them stay calm, reducing any fear or anxiety they may feel in the water.

Beyond breathing, bubble-blowing builds comfort and familiarity in a fun, engaging way. As children gain confidence, they become more relaxed and open to learning new skills.

This small but powerful step sets the stage for stronger swimming techniques and a positive relationship with the water.
