CLASS POLICY

1. Weekly Schedule & Public Holidays

Lessons are conducted every week.
If the primary coach is unavailable, a replacement coach will conduct the lesson.
There will be no lessons on Public Holidays and no charges will apply.

2. Refunds & Transfer

Package and any unused lessons are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

3. Inclement Weather Policy

The coach reserves the right to cancel a lesson at any time due to unsafe weather conditions.

4. Withdrawal & Termination

Please submit a withdrawal request to the school at least 30 days before the desired end date via email.
Any unused lesson will not be refunded.

5. Little Orcas Swimming Cap

All students are required to wear the official Little Orcas swimming cap during lessons.
A replacement fee of $10 will apply for any lost or damaged caps

1. Trial Lesson

Trial Lesson is to be paid as a single lesson before the start of the trial lesson.

2. Payment

Lessons are purchased in 5-lessons blocks.
Renewals are to be purchased by the 4th lesson.

3. Rain During Lessons

If a lesson is interrupted by rain to the extent that it cannot continue, it will be considered a full lesson, if at least 20 minutes have been completed.
If a lesson has been conducted for less than 20 minutes, the coach may choose to wait out the rain and continue the extend the subsequent lessons to make up for the remaining time.

4. Class Cancellations

Please notify the school at least 24 hours in advance for any class cancellation.
Cancellations due to inclement weather require a minimum of 1 hour's notice.
All cancellation requests must be communicated in the designated WhatsApp group and acknowledged by the school or coach.
Late cancellations that do not adhere to above will be subjected to a fee of $10.

5. Cancellation in 1:2 and 1:3 Classes

For 1:2 and 1:3 classes, if any student is absent , the classes may still proceed and the same charges per student will apply.

1. Trial Lesson

Trial lesson is free-of-charge and subjected to availability in the group classes

2. Class Ratio & Duration

The instructor-to-student ratio is 1:6 and group class is 45 minutes long.

3. Class Arrangement

The school may adjust the class arrangements based on the students' ages and levels.

4. Package Validity

The 4-Lesson package must be completed within 4 weeks and the 10-lesson package within 12 weeks, from the date of the first lesson.
Once all the lessons are completed or the validity period has expired, a new package must be purchased to continue attending the lessons.

5. Rain During Lessons

If a lesson is interrupted by rain to the extent that it cannot continue, it will only be considered as a full lesson if at least 20 minutes have been completed

6. Makeup Lesson

The school may arrange additional makeup lessons to help ensure all lessons are completed within the package's validity period.
Makeup lessons may be scheduled within existing group classes or as ad-hoc classes, subject to availability.

7. Prolonged Absences

For illnesses or holidays lasting three weeks or more, please inform the school in advance.
Packages can be paused on a case-by-case basis.
However, the school cannot guarantee the availability of a prior group class slot upon return.

8. Multiple Weather-Related Cancellations

In the event of multiple weather-related cancellations, the school will make a good faith effort to offer additional makeup lessons on separate days, subject to availability.

POLICY AMENDMENTS

The school reserves the right to amend the policies at any time.
The school will make reasonable efforts to notify all enrolled participants of any significant changes by posting the updated policies on our website and/or via email.
Continued enrolment in the lessons following the posting of revised policies constitutes the acceptance of the revised terms.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. Collection of Personal Data
By enrolling in our swim school, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data, including your child's personal data, for the purposes of providing and improving our services. This may include contact information, medical information relevant to swim safety, and images or videos captured during lessons.

2. Use of Personal Data
The personal data collected will be used for:

Managing enrolment and attendance
Communicating important updates, changes, and announcements
Ensuring the safety and well-being of students
Marketing and promotional activities, if consented to by you

3. Disclosure of Personal Data
We will not disclose your personal data to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or necessary for the operation of the swim school (e.g., sharing information with instructors).

4. Protection of Personal Data
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement reasonable security measures to protect it from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks.

5. Access and Correction
You have the right to request access to your personal data and to request correction of any errors or omissions. To make a request, please send us an email.

6. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data at any time, by providing reasonable notice to us. Please note that the withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide you with certain services.

7. Amendments to Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Personal Data Protection Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you through our official communication channels, such as email or our website. Continued participation in the swim school following the communication of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

ADDITONAL NOTES

1. Media Release

By registering your child for lessons at Little Orcas, you grant us permission to use photographs and/or video recordings of your child for promotional purposes, including our website, social media channels and printed materials. If you do not consent to media use, please notify us via email prior to the start of classes.

2. Release of Liability

Assumption of Risk: By enrolling in Little Orcas, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with swimming activities, including but not limited to the risk of drowning, injuries from slips and falls, and other accidents.
Release of Claims: You agree to release, waive and discharge Little Orcas, its owners, instructors, employees and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you or your child while participating in swim school activities or while on the premises, whether caused by the negligence of the swim school or otherwise.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Little Orcas, its owners, employees and agents from any and all costs, expenses, damages and liabilities.
